"july 12 2007" will be the important date. It will be there as an USCIS stamp in the App. You can re-submit this app in Oct 2007 even if there is no visa available for your PD in Oct, 2007. It will be treated as if it was received on "july 12 2007".

I am on h1b visa and want to buy a property in india. My parents in india will be the POA. Can someone suggest which is better- taking a personal loan from a bank in India or here?Also, if someone has done the same, can u provide the details about how much loan one can get, any good bank to get it and the paperwork etc. thanks a lot.

US Govt don't have to worry about it because we don't qualify for UnEmployment Benefits anyways.
Now thats a different story that we pay unemployment and SS taxes but we don't get any benefits out of it.....:(

That's true for my case. My labor certification was denied once due to the naive aknowledge of my para-legal attorney. It caused my LC was delay 1 year then I was stuck by Retrogression. Again at filing I-485, if I have not carefully studied the immi laws and reviewed my case, my attorney might mess it up. Many times I found my non-professional, clumsy knowledge on Immi laws is even better than my para-legal attorney

Something does not sound right here. How can the employer "misplace" the upper portion of the approval notice? In the first place, why did he even separate the upper portion and the lower portion? He is supposed to give you the entire document as a single piece of paper.
Some thing really does not sound right here. By law, he is required to give you the approval notice.

Do you think that the post poned to march for the senate debate is due to preparation to handle the 11 milion immigrants?
Another question, i feel some anymosity (sorry for my english) for the Illegals immigrants, i am not one of them, i am legal and beleive i don`t have any problem for a visa, but as immigrant i see a lot of them struggling and working like animals for few dollars, and sometime they become illegals due to the confusion about the law. Do you know how much cost a lawier ? I really think that exist only immigration, no difference for me.

stock trading for yourself on your personal account is no issues... if you setup a corp and do it through that corp, then you need a secondary H1 B...

10 year law is not true. However, if your kid turns 21 s/he can sponser your GC with considerable less delay.

now what if I apply for F1 visa and it get approve say 2 months before her actual class start date. as soon her F1 will get approve she will be on F1 status , so is there any problem she stay on F1 for some period before her actual class start.
for example her actual class will start from 1st of August 2011 and we apply for her F1 on 1st may and it get approve by 15th May and from the approval date of F1 (15th May) she will be on F1 status. but as said actual class will start from 1st Aug 2011, so is there any problem or illegal if she stay on F1 from 15th May 2011 TO 31st July 2011 (75 days) on F1 without her actual class starts ?
My wife already have H4 extension which is valid until 2013.

i doubt they woould do an inch in our against , Social security , Medical is something we pay without even thinking of it there are more than 300K + in our boat and thats huge money 300,000* 300 on 90000000 thats just social security so no worries relax .
