Yes for new applicants it's wonderful. For old applicants it's double the money and double the time (to get GC counting time from the first time they applied for GC ) or even more time than the new applicants.

I would be appreciated, if people returning at NJ Airports can post their experiences of Successful re-entry . That would definitely be helpful to all other people, who will have to travel, in case of Emergency.
I and my wife entered successfully at EWR, end of Feb this year. I'm on my 7 year on H1-B that was stamped just a month ago in Ottawa Consulate in Canada. Also, I had new passport renewed from India. My Visa was stamped on my old passport that was expiring in Dec 2009.
My wife is in her 4th year (2nd extension) of H1-B and her Visa was stamped as well, a month ago at Ottawa Consulate.
There were no issues at all at POE. We were asked what we did at our respective companies, but were not asked for any letter etc. Both of us are permanent employees in our companies.
Feel free to PM me if you have any specific question regarding our POE experience at Newark Airport.

Guys,
The doc I went to for the medical exam gave me Chicken Pox and MMR Vaccine. But for Tetanus, as I took one in 1999 , the doc said since its valid for 10 years I don't need one. He went by my word and filled the vaccine supplemant form accordingly.
My doubt is I did not have any wrriten records to show that I took this vaccine in 1999.
Does USCIS requires the civil surgeon to provide the vaccination record document along with 693 & vaccination supplement form? or does it just go by what the civil surgeon mentions in the supplemental form?

If 3600 have been approved, then between 7200 and 9000 numbers have already been consumed based on an average of 2 or 2.5. Take your pick. We have only completed 4 business days in August. At this rate we'll blow through the 20,000 numbers in less than ten days. That means EB2 becomes U in Sept and it makes 2006 approvals look even more egregious.

There is definitely something weird going on in the background. Otherwise why would u take off free expression of members. Why are u challenged ?
Specially by member who is on this website from 2006. Is collecting money is the only goal left or u want to do something constructive. I am not doing something like this in anonymity but half of the team knows by name. So what's ur problem Administrator ? Is Elections a big thing to ask ?

Thank you. I don't think there's such a thing for I-140 probably because things are not as complex as they are for an I-485. They just check for a valid labor certification wherever necessary, experience letters and the company's ability to pay, that's it.

I agree that protest idea should not be misused. They have listened to us once now they will say "what else they want". Though there are more long terms issues but i guess protest ideas can be saved for later on or wait for the momentum to buildup itself.

I was a big fan of PhotoSig when I discovered it about a year ago.. I loved to look through others photos and also share some to have critiqued.. Here's my old user page over there:

I applied to renew my travel permit on May 20th 2009, I just got the following email from immigration:
Receipt Number: XXXXXXXXXX
Application Type: I131 , APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT
Current Status: REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE SENT, CASE PLACED ON HOLD
On May 20, 2009, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your mailing address.
I applied ONLINE this time.
My last year parole expired on May 3rd 2009.

I will be applying for my 3rd H1-B extension soon. If for some reason the H1-B renewal gets rejected, do rules allow for applying for a H1-B transfer soon after the rejection.

Also what happens if existing visa expired 4 months back, and current H1 B-renewal is pending for 6 months now. PP is an option, but what happens if the current H1B in processing gets denied. Will there be an RFE before denial.
Anybody waiting for 6 months for h1B approval.

Thank you for the additional info VVR Murthy. I plan on sending everything I have including a letter from HR and manager. Surprisingly they ask for Original Pay Stubs and Bank Statements, most payroll and banks are going paperless and BOA now charges $10 for a custom letter!!
